Wine - это не эмулятор Windows,
как думают многие, а альтернативная реализация API Windows 3.x и Win32

Wine is an Open Source

of Wine as a compatibility layer for running Windows programs. Wine does
not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely free alternative
implementation of the Windows API consisting of 100% non-Microsoft code,
however Wine can optionally use native Windows DLLs if they are

What's New in This Release:
- This release represents two years of development effort and over
23,000 changes. The main highlights are the support for 64-bit
applications, and the new graphics based on the Tango standard.
- It also contains a lot of improvements across the board, and over
3,000 bug fixes.
